Could you write me a rhyme? This is totally TMI but last week while I was in the ER and totally miserable I almost had the unthinkable happen. I had had a CT scan, which they totally make you drink this AWFUL stuff...and a whole lot of it. I kept puking it up, and the nurse kept it coming. Finally , I held it down and had the darn test. When it came back negative they wanted to send me for an X-ray. Nightmare ahead!!! I was so going to toss my cookies if I had to move, and ofcourse they needed me to stand for the pictures. They took the first pic, and then I gave the tech THE look. Get me to a bathroom!!!! I then proceeded to loose it from all areas....thanking the LORD that I grabbed the trash can just in time. Let me tell you how humiliating it is to hear a twenty-something young man(the lab tech) from outside the bathroom, ask "Mrs Crum, is everything all right?"
Well, let me re-phrase that. It is even more humiliating to have the same tech guy say, while he is taking you back to your room," Mrs. Crum, I don't know if they warned you but the liquid you have to drink for the CT can give you the _________"
I so could have died right there and gone straight to heaven.
Here is to keeping everything in its place.
